God has always declared himself a God of mission and as Christians we delight to share with others the Gospel – the good news about hope of salvation and restoration through what Jesus has done (link to What we believe), and to work showing his love and compassion to people who are in need – in our community, our country and throughout the world.
We have close links with a number of mission and aid agencies and individuals as shown below. We encourage active participation and several church members are involved here in the UK, and some take regular short term overseas trips to help in their work.
Paul and Susan Boothby working with NTM UK in the highlands of Papua New Guinea giving medical and practical help, establishing a written language and translating the Bible. www.ntm.org.uk.
Operation Mobilisation (OM). Aid and relief work and sharing the Gospel by over 5000 volunteers in 54 countries. Operates the ocean-going ship “Logos Hope”, the world’s largest floating bookshop with over 6000 titles, crewed by over 400 international volunteers. www.om.org/ships.
Jonathan (JD) & Annette Gilmore serving with UFM Worldwide leading a church in Palermo, Sicily and working throughout Italy. Morning Star Children’s Centre, South Africa. Supporting underprivileged children and families suffering from HIV infection, restoring hope and giving optimum care, nutritious meals, appropriate medication, stimulating activities and showing love to 150 children attending 2 centres. www.morningstar.org.za.
One Hundred Fold. Specialist team using mobile technology to make the gospel of Christ accessible to every individual and helping ministry partners who have text, audio, or video content to deliver materials individually and safely via mobile devices. This includes the Bible, Christian training, evangelism, and discipleship resources in native languages by website building, mobile apps, security devices, servers, and whatever else is needed to communicate the gospel. www.100fold.org/
